The Hertz Corporation Digital Innovation Analyst in Estero, Florida

General Responsibilities

The Digital Innovation Analyst is responsible for the ongoing development and support of digital innovation products, supporting the Hertz innovation roadmap. The Digital Innovation Analyst will be a vital member of the digital innovation team, responsible for the technical implementation of new products and new features during industrialization and commercialization phases.

This individual will plan and perform work against the innovation product development roadmap ensuring timely and quality delivery of new features. They will facilitate partnership between business and information technology teams. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the ideation, industrialization and commercialization of new products and services across digital channels.

A successful candidate will be able to:

  • Successfully maintain and mature in-market pilots

  • Help manage innovation initiatives through the deployment lifecycle

  • Perform cost analysis and pricing models for new products

  • Partner with Product Owners to identify technical requirements and functional needs of upcoming features

  • Identify and remediate any defects of new digital owned by the innovation team – including root-cause analysis and hot-fixes

  • Deploy, test and document supported products in both staging and production environments

  • Partner with Customer Experience team to define technical requirements and functional needs of upcoming features

  • Assist in responding to incidents and work with IT teams to resolve technical issues of new products

  • Design, document, and maintain related business and technical processes

  • Maintain innovation product environments in optimal configuration from both technical and budgetary perspectives

  • Manage and support the on-going development of innovative digital products utilizing new technical tools

  • Translate digital business needs into business architecture and design requirements to support new digital products services

  • Define overall front-end and delivery system specifications and requirements

  • Maintain a reference library of key learnings from overall projects and initiatives

  • Effectively facilitate innovation meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills, and interact with project stakeholders

  • Draft requirements for new business initiatives and pilots

  • Provide thought leadership for agile business and technical workshops and new initiatives

  • Exercise independent judgment and take the lead role on enterprise level projects with minimal direction from a director or engagement manager

  • Other duties as assigned

Mandatory Requirements


  • B.S. in Computer Science or related practical experience

  • At least 1 year of experience with bleeding edge technologies including IoT, A.I & cognitive systems

  • Background in business analysis and cost estimation models

  • Demonstrated ability to implement and adapt to emerging voice, mobile, and IOT technologies

  • Experience with agile/iterative methodologies

  • Experience with AWS cloud environment

  • Experience in documenting requirements and testing

  • Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions, including data visualization techniques and tools

  • Experience writing product development requirements and business architecture

  • Experience in generating process documentation

  • Understand development life cycles across digital products and pilots

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills

  • Ability to mix deep technical expertise and communicate to cross functional and executive audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to emerging mobile, cloud, and IOT technologies and learn quickly

  • Presentation skills; high degree of comfort with executive audiences
