The Hertz Corporation Director, Fleet Systems in Estero, Florida

General Responsibilities

Role Overview

Hertz are seeking a Technology leader to manage its Fleet (vehicle-related) application products. This leadership position has responsibility for building or configuring, maintaining or enhancing, and eventually decommissioning applications through their product life cycle. Additionally, this role will support a significant Fleet related technology transformation initiative.

Role Responsibilities

  • Management of all Fleet systems, including planning, procurement, resource planning, financial management, scheduling and implementation activities, across multiple areas and teams

  • Collaborating with the product, design, development teams to ensure that the business requirements are properly defined, developed and deployed to the relevant business stakeholder’s satisfaction

  • Conduct internal/external Service Delivery reviews to track quality of service, on time delivery and ensure costs are within targets

  • Define and enhance methodologies and practices for the application life cycle management in line with best practice and practical experience of continuous improvement

  • Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and standards

  • Actively seeking opportunities, new initiatives, developments and financially quantifiable efficiencies in the business throughout the implementation

  • Manage interactions across senior business leaders, internal and external Product/Project management teams and cross-functional technology resources

Mandatory Requirements

Role Experience and Skills

  • 10+ years technology and business experience

  • 5+ years managing applications/systems delivery and operations

  • 5+ years experience leading and managing teams

  • 5+ years in an engineering/technical role

  • Demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high-performance teams/groups

  • Demonstrated highly collaborative approach with a proven ability to work to tight deadlines, gather consensus and make decisions

  • Accomplished verbal and written communications with proven ability to work with diverse senior leaders and technology owners

  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of both waterfall and agile software development approaches

  • Preferred experience of delivering solutions within Fleet/Asset Management

  • Bachelor’s Technology Degree, Master’s degree preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 25% including International

  • Position is located in Estero, Florida.
