The Hertz Corporation Manager, Oracle PBCS Application in Estero, Florida
The PBCS Application Manageris responsible for the overall administration and support of the Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (PBCS), Financial Data Quality Manager (FDM), Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), SmartView and interfaces.
The PBCS Application Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the Corporate Planning system and managing Development, Quality, and Production environments. The main objective of this position is to ensure the integrity of the planning systems utilized to report the monthly, quarterly and annual internal management reports.
Activities include coordinating with Database Application Manager as required, error processing and remediation, coordination of any new interface requirements, and providing third Level of Support for issue resolution.
Participate as a key team member of strategic projects for the corporation with key partners to ensure integration with Oracle Financials, Oracle Cloud and Oracle Analytics Cloud.
This position will also be responsible for the implementation and support of new PBCS version. The PBCS Application Manager will be responsible to ensure the PBCS projects are controlled and under budget.
The PBCS Application Manager will be responsible for owning and administering the application from top to bottom including backups, loading data into the system via ETL, pushing data to the various cubes via load rules, calcs and MaxL scripts, shell scripts, maintaining rollups and dimensions across all our cubes, maintaining audit required documentation, and controlling application access/ security. The Application Manager will be one of the primary points of contact with the users of PBCS, responding to their requests and helping design and prioritize new solutions.
In this role the PBCS Application Manager will strategize and conduct impact analysis for software changes, produce detailed specifications and configure the environment to meet customer requirements.
The role requires to act as a co-lead with all Operating Divisions, Corporate areas, Shared Services, COE’s IT and Executives to ensure PBCS reports are accurate and consistent. Expert in Financial, Accounting, Forecasting, Budgeting and Planning.
Continue the strong working relationships with Finance business partners at many levels of the organization. The role requires to act as a liaison with all Operating Divisions, Corporate areas, Shared Services, COE’s IT and Executives to ensure reports are accurate and consistent.
Key Result Areas:
The PBCS Application Manager will lead all aspects of strategy and operations for the PBCS platform at Hertz.
Manage the day to day technical administration of the Oracle PBCS Platform for the Global corporation.
Maintain outlines, metadata, business rules, scripts and other objects within Oracle Hyperion EPM as business requirements change and migrate objects across environments.
Monthly maintenance, including metadata and mapping changes, changes to standard reports, supporting/coordinating software updates and patches, and any related testing, and managing all utilities and tools, including security for users.
Managing all Hyperion functions as they relate to supporting the monthly close and forecasting.
Interaction with FP&A and Accounting teams to support the use of Oracle PBCS and OAC Essbase.
Ensure compliance with the proper policies, procedures, and controls within Oracle Hyperion EPM and related processes.
Oversee timely support and issue resolution, most critically during the accounting close and financial planning cycles coordinating with teams in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Own the analysis, design, and development of new reports and system enhancements for projects.
Create and maintain Oracle EPM interfaces and automation as needed.
Create and maintain up to date documentation for the Oracle PBCS application.
Understanding shared services components for provisioning users via groups and knowledge of Life Cycle Management for promoting apps from Dev to QA to Production.
Responsible for the maintenance and documentation of rules logic, forms, and scripts in Oracle PBCS.
Maintenance of mapping logic in Financial Data Quality Management Oracle FDM.
Creation and maintenance of Hyperion Financial Reporting Studio reports, SmartView reports, and ad-hoc reporting with proper documentation and reconciliation. Ensure the reports are optimized.
Processing and tracking metadata changes in EPM applications.
Manage the controlled processes for loading and validation of data.
Liaise with the IT support group to support system, servers, upgrades and patches.
Develop and maintain an understanding of data sources and data outputs.
Creation and implementation of process improvements which includes testing, validating and documenting change process
Provide training sessions and documentation for all end users of the Corporate Planning system.
New user set-up and monthly review of existing users’ security rights.
Assist with system configuration to support acquisitions, divestitures and accounting changes.
Collaborate with business teams to improve and expanding Oracle PBCS.
Ensure compliance with all PCC Corporate Policies and Procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and SOX requirements.
BS or BA Degree in Business, Technology or,in lieu, a demonstrated equivalence of5 Years of EPM Administration experience.
Oracle University Training or PBCS certification preferred.
3 year of full lifecycle implementation and support of Oracle PBCS.
5-7 years of experience administrating and supporting Oracle Hyperion Planning/PBCS, FDM and Essbase.
5 years of experience in Accounting and/or Financial Planning and Accounting.
5 years of experience leading and managing project teams.
Experience with Oracle EPM/BI Cloud Products and Solutions (PBCS, EPBCS, EPRCS, FCCS, ARCS, OAC).
Experience working with Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), Workspace, Calc Manager, Rules, Grids.
Experience with supporting business users with SmartView.
EPM Trouble Shooting, Tuning, Disaster Recovery, Backups and Restore, Security.
Knowledge of other Financial Systems: Hyperion Financial Management, Oracle General Ledger.
Knowledge of other Analytic Systems: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Oracle Business Intelligence.
Documentation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Effective project management, process planning and implementation skills.
Strong accounting knowledge (journal entries, T-accounts, impact to financial statements, EBITDA).
Experience with archiving, tuning and migration.
