The Hertz Corporation Mgr Program Management in Estero, Florida
We are seeking an individual to lead and manage the delivery of key business related projects and programs to further our business strategy.
The selected individual will be responsible for the following:
Managing all aspects of global project and program management for the Customer Data Management. This includes our Salesforce and Loyalty on Demand, including planning, design, engineering, procurement, resource planning, cost, scheduling and implementation activities, across multiple areas and multiple project teams. Overall project management for any number of projects determined by the Business, Global PMO or Senior Management.
Working with the relevant product and business sponsors to define and shape the project, ensuring that they are aligned with both the Business and Domain strategies.
Ensuring acceptance by all stakeholders, through effective Change Management Programs.
Working closely with project stakeholders and key users to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support their business goals.
Managing competing priorities and dependencies, liase with Management and other Project Managers to ensure optimum usage of all resources
Identifying, coordinating and ensuring availability of key human resources and business resources.
Managing the program's budget, monitoring expenditures and costs against this budget and delivering to agreed costs.
Ensuring schedules, time estimates, and detailed plans are provided for all deliverables, including risk assessments and opportunities.
Tracking milestones, identifying problem areas before they impact the project and coordinating corrective actions and establishing escalation procedures.
Managing and coordinating all Program / Project communication with Product Manager and key stakeholders in all relevant areas of the business
Setting objectives and providing direction, advice and motivation to assigned project delivery teams.
Documenting and managing risks, issues, decisions and actions for all projects
Collaborating with the product, design, development teams to ensure that the business requirements are properly defined, developed and deployed to the relevant business customer's satisfaction.
Ensuring compliance with policies and standards, including those from our ePMO teams (Project One and Tech Generator)
Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
Carrying out post implementation reviews of all programs / projects to ensure that original goals / requirements are being met.
Actively seeking opportunities, new initiatives, developments and financially quantifiable efficiencies in the business throughout the implementation.
Contributing to the planning, budgeting and overall management of the project.
Chair Collaborative Discussion meetings and status meetings
Contributing to the Hertz Improvement Process to discover new and more efficient ways to run our business and deliver the right products and services to our customers faster and at a lower cost. Drives change from within to improve customer satisfaction and uses teamwork to tackle problems.
6-8 years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience; highly desirable to have experience in software engineering involving development and testing of applications
3 or more years of business-unit experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
Technical management experience in a dynamic high-technology environment — a key success factor
3-5 years of demonstrated management/supervisory experience in systems development, during which more than one of the following occurred:
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership, with strong abilities in relationship management
Demonstrated leadership of multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups
Successfully developed and implemented new technology
Demonstrated competency in project management and the execution of multiple or large projects
Successfully developed and implemented new work processes or process improvements
Gained experience working with customers to develop solutions to complex business problems
Demonstrated knowledge of current tools and techniques of project management, demonstrated knowledge and use of key knowledge areas within the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
Has an overall understanding of the objectives and functions of the Company, business units and departments serviced by IT.
Ability to identify problems, make decisions, create solutions and take action.
Practical understanding of application software development.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and projects in a demanding and fast changing environment.
Position is located in Estero FL or Bannockburn IL
