The Hertz Corporation Operations Analysis Team Lead in Estero, Florida

General Responsibilities

The Team Lead Operations Analysis will report into the Senior Director Workforce Management and lead operations analysis, reporting, and tool development for senior management and field leadership while also acting as the primary liaison with IT, Fleet, and Rev Mgmt on major strategic analytic projects to provide operational perspective to systems changes.

  1. Individual will be the primary operations contact and lead for major cross-divisional system enhancements to ensure that the needs of the operation are incorporated into future solutions. In the near term, this is inclusive of Project ONE and Project Faraday.

  2. Individual will develop tools, dashboards, and analysis to help field leaders make educated, real-time decisions that are in the best interest of the customers and company. This will be inclusive of analytical support to field operators as well as Senior Leadership.

  3. Individual will also provide cross-functional analytical support to Maintenance, Fleet Management, Marketing, and Revenue Management for initiative performance measurement as well as other ad-hoc analysis needs.

  4. The individual and team will be responsible for ensuring that the dashboards and tools accurately represent actions occurring, they meet the expectations of the field leaders who are the primary audience, and for keeping the systems/dashboards up to date and operating properly.

  5. The individual and team will be responsible for coding and developing various automated performance reports. They will also have responsibility for the maintenance of these reports to ensure that they are accurate operating appropriately.

  6. The collective work of the teams supported by this individual will help to provide guidance to key decision making and visibility to the resulting performance.

Mandatory Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Statistics, or other business-related discipline

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Math/Statistics preferred

Professional Experience:

  • Two to ten years of experience in analytical roles

  • Experience in statistical modelling for operational analysis

  • Responsibility for division or enterprise reporting

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams to act and drive change management

  • Strong executive presence – both written and oral

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills

Knowledge:

  • Understanding of the car rental market segment in the industry and its drivers

  • Understanding of Information Technology

  • Understanding of programming and/or statistical languages as they relate to tool and reporting development

  • Excellent grasp of competition

  • Strong ability and desire to translate Corporate vision into results

  • Strong operational and business acumen
