General Responsibilities

SD/Dir, Tech Portfolio Strategy reports to the Vice President Tech Portfolio Mgmt & Business Integration

Job Purpose:

Reports toVice President Tech Portfolio Mgmt & Business Integrationand supports tech portfolio planning and strategy for the enterprise. Facilitates planning for technology vision and innovation; as well understands IT trends that can create business value. Influences enterprise-wide tech and business decisions with strong relationship to all business and Tech leaders, supportingVice President Tech Portfolio Mgmt & Business Integration.

Communicates portfolio strategic plans, supporting the business in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Ensure that the IT strategic plan and tactical plans are aligned with the business. Create a cost effective, efficient roadmap with the business for requirements.

Partner with project and portfolio management leads to ensure an efficient framework and methodology for managing strategic, cross enterprise tech initiatives and planning

Align with Tech Portfolio Black Belt to establish and facilitate the IT framework to manage the process improvement initiatives within IT (Lean/Six Sigma)

SupportVice President Tech Portfolio Mgmt & Business IntegrationProvide program level management of the sourcing activities within IT.

Participates in and helps to drive cross business strategic decisions, supportingVice President Tech Portfolio Mgmt & Business Integration, and aligned with Hertz CIO. Implements and manages initiatives with complete autonomy.

Job Duties:

  • Analyze existing and emerging tech ideas and plans.

  • Establish, monitor, and report on IT performance indicators.

  • Establish a process to monitor business sector, industry, and technology infrastructure, legal and regulatory trends. Incorporate the consequences of these trends into the development of the IT technology plan.

  • Manages strategic vendor and partner relationships in relation to the strategic plan.

  • Oversees development of enterprise standards and IT governance process.

  • Business leadership teams

  • CIO/Senior Management

  • Business Partners

  • Vendors

  • SMG

Mandatory Requirements

Professional Experience:

  • Possesses 8-10 years of IT and/or business work experience, with 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in managing multiple, large cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of IT/Enterprise Systems, OR Enterprise Business Strategy

  • Business – Strong Financial Management

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills

  • Excellent leadership capabilities

Educational Background:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or MBA with high aptitude for learning tech and innovation.
